Bernd Zanon drives in the FIA Alpine Adria Cup

In 2018 he will be driving a Peugeot 208 T16 R5 for the first time in the WRC2 class, the second highest class. The car was made available to Bernd Zanon from the Munaretto Sport rally team after a few sponsors were found at the last minute. This finances the start of three races in this 320-hp all-wheel drive car.

At the first race in mid-April in Slovenia (Rally Vipavska Dolina), the Eggentaler more than fulfilled the expectations of the sponsors and the hopes of the team: Without having completed a single test drive before the race, Bernd Zanon was at the front and ended up in fourth place . A sensational result given the circumstances, as it was his comeback race after the accident in September at the Rally Valtellina.

After this result it is clear: Bernd Zanon is aiming for victory in the championship in his first WRC2 season. But a few sponsors still have to be found so that not just three, but all six races can be run.
