Target Competition chasing points in Belgium

In qualifying, all 4 Hyundai i30Ns from the South Tyrolean Team Target Competition were able to qualify for Q2 with 22 participants. John Filippi came in an excellent 3rd place, Andreas Bäckman in 4th place, Josè Manuel Sapag in 7th place and Jessica Bäckman in 12th place. In the first race, Jessica Bäckman was once again very unlucky; once again she collided with an opponent and was eliminated with a defective vehicle. John Filippi and Andreas Bäckman finished in good positions 1 and 4, while JM Sapag lost a few places. For him it was enough for 5th place. In the second race, JM Sapag started from 2th, Andreas Bäckman from 4th and J. Filippi from 7th. The race developed into a real battle, with some extremely tough attacks. JM Sapag knew a thing or two about it: he didn't get off to a particularly good start, but fought his way back to the top positions when an over-motivated opponent sent him into the barrier. Andreas Bäckman also fell far behind after a ride, but after a wild race to catch up, he ultimately finished the race in 8th place. John Filippi also drove a great race and was able to secure a place on the podium with third place. With the points scored, Filippi moves up to 3rd place in the drivers' standings. He is now only 26 points behind overall leader Mike Halder. A maximum of 90 points can still be scored in the last two races. These will take place from November 6th to 8th in Jarama (Spain).

Races 9 and 10 of the TCR Europe Championship took place at Spa Francorchamps at the weekend. John Filippi, from the South Tyrolean team Target Competition, was particularly able to attract attention.
