Target Competition with victory at the Hungaroring

It rained before qualifying at the Hungaroring - not far from the capital Budapest - and the track dried up during qualifying. The Target Competition pilot Dusan Borkovich secured fourth place on the grid, Reece Barr followed right behind and Chris Richard had to make do with 13th place on the grid.

Chaotic race 1 The first race on Saturday was characterized by extremely aggressive driving by many participants; there were many collisions, spins and retirements. Dusan Borkovic was unimpressed and won the race. Reece Barr, who had badly damaged his racing car in free practice, was in the front positions throughout the race. Unfortunately only until the last lap, there was contact with an opponent, this contact threw Barr back to the end of the field. Kris Richard also drove a very strong race, fighting his way up to fifth place from 13th on the grid and securing valuable points. Joy and sorrow in race 2 In the second race, Dusan Borkovic had to retire after making contact with the enemy. Reece Barr, just 18 years old, finished the race in an excellent sixth place, just ahead of his teammate Kris Richard.

In the drivers' standings, Spaniard Mikel Azcona leads just ahead of Dusan Borkovic. In the team ranking, however, the Target Competition team is comfortably at the top.

The next races will take place in Assen (NED) on August 18th and 19th.
