ICEFIGHT: Lobzov and Rainer are the fastest in the qualification

There were Russian festivals for men. Of the 12 semi-final places, eight and thus two thirds of the contingent went to the strong team from Eastern Europe. Seven athletes reached the top on the qualification route. The fastest was the Russian Stanislav Lobzov. Last year's winner Markus Bendler collected 17,25 points and made it into the penultimate round in ninth place, while world champion Hee Yong Park "trembled" his way into the semi-finals in 12th place and thus as the last athlete. A total of 33 ice climbers from ten nations took part.

Among the women, the favorites more than lived up to their role. Two-time winner Angelika Rainer from Meran climbed top and was two seconds faster than Maria Tolokonina (Russia), who won the Marmot ICEFIGHT 2011. So the final on Sunday from 14.15:XNUMX p.m. will be dominated by a duel between these two ice climbers. Lucie Hrozova from the Czech Republic came third in the qualifying and was able to qualify, as did the Russians Anna Galliamova, Nadezda Galliamova and Maria Karasavina.

The competition day on Sunday begins at 9.15:13 a.m. with the men's semi-final. The men's final is scheduled for 14.15 p.m., and the women will determine the winner at 25:24,40 p.m. Afterwards, the speed competition is on the program, where the aim is to climb the 2011 meter high ice tower as quickly as possible.
