In the first round of the men's doubles on Monday evening, the score was 1:1 (6:4, 6:7(5)) between Andreas Seppi/Daniele Bracciali and the two Czechs Radek Stepanek/Tomas Berdych. The third set had begun, but the referee interrupted the match when the score was 1:1 due to darkness. The decision was finally made on Tuesday. Seppi and Bracciali were defeated by the Czechs 6:4 in the third set.
