The ice channel in Innsbruck-Igls is hosting the premiere event in the World Cup for the 15th time. The World Cup season opens on Saturday at 9.50:XNUMX a.m. with the first women's run. For this purpose, technical director Armin Zöggeler nominated the couples Ludwig Rieder/Patrick Rastner and the very young Ivan Nagler/Fabian Malleier. Like Andrea Vötter, the doubles pair Rastner and Rieder also achieved the best result of their career last year with second place.

The men's single-seaters will make their World Cup debut this year with the first run on Sunday at 10.15:2014 a.m. Simon Kainzwaldner, Emanuel Rieder and the Meransner cousins Dominik and Kevin Filehner are also there.
