Bolzano and Brixen achieved clear victories

On Saturday evening, South Tyrol's handball teams had duels against direct competitors on the agenda. The championship leader from the state capital had to deal with Conversano. Before the game, the two teams were separated by six points, but on the pitch the difference seemed to be much greater, as the 2017/2018 champions gave the southern Italians no chance. The best thrower on the Talferstädter side was Dean Turkovic with six hits.

Since SSV Brixen was only able to collect three points in the last five games, they absolutely had to win at home against their table neighbors Cologne on Saturday evening. The people of Bischofstadt made this a reality in an explicit way. In addition to the clear victory, the people of Brixen had something else to celebrate: goalkeeper Benno Pfattner played his 200th game for SSV Brixen against Cologne.
