Ski star Kriechmayr will be breaking new ground in the future

Kriechmayr, who was previously under contract with Fischer, signed for Head until 2022. The Upper Austrian said he was looking for a new stimulus and would now like to take the next step.

Head racing director Rainer Salzgeber was pleased that with double Olympic champion Matthias Mayer and Kriechmayr they now have “the two best speed drivers in Austria” under contract. “I don’t just expect benefits from this constellation for us. I am convinced that both of them can take another step forward with Head.” Kriechmayr wants to promote giant slalom Kriechmayr's focus is on the speed disciplines, but he also wants to push giant slalom in the coming season. Kriechmayr explained that he immediately felt very comfortable with the material. “My goal is very simple: I want to get even better now. I also want to take a step forward in giant slalom.”

On Fischer, Kriechmayr won silver in the Super-G and bronze in the downhill at the 2019 World Championships in Aare, and he has won the World Cup six times since 2017.

“After 26 years on Fischer Ski, the time has now come for a change. I am proud and grateful for all the successes that I have been able to celebrate together with the Fischer company in recent years,” wrote Kriechmayr via Instagram.
