Criterium du Dauphiné: Bardet wins fifth stage

After 161 km between Digne-les-Bains and the mountain finish in Pra-Loup, the Tour third place from Team Ag2R prevailed with a lead of 36 seconds over the American Teejay van Garderen (BMC). Chris Froome (Great Britain/Sky) came third. He finished 40 seconds slower than Bardet. Manuel Quinziato from Bolzano was 19,15 minutes behind at the finish. He finished the fifth section in 127th place.

Meanwhile, Quinziato's teammate Van Garderen took the lead in the overall classification with his second place. There the American is now 18 seconds ahead of the Spaniard Benat Intxausti (Movistar) and 20 seconds ahead of Bardet. Quinziato is ranked 130th.

The sixth stage on Friday leads over 183 km from Saint-Bonnet-en-Champsaur to Villard-de-Lans/Cote 2000.
