Eva Lechner injured in a riding accident

Eva Lechner will not take part in the “Internazionali d'Italia” racing series next weekend. That much is certain. However, the 32-year-old from Eppan should be able to get over this because she can get off lightly with the cancellation of the competition. She fell while riding and had to be taken to hospital for an examination, where doctors diagnosed a mild concussion. “Luckily it’s nothing serious and it shows me once again how important it is to wear a helmet!” wrote the mountain biker in an Instagram post.

Riding is Lechner's second great passion. She has been in the saddle since she was a child, has even taken part in the Oswald von Wolkenstein ride in the past and now has several horses in her stable.

Lechner should be back on the bike by the end of the month at the latest, then the next stage of the “Internazionali d'Italia” will be on the agenda in Belluno. This is also the dress rehearsal for the home World Cup in exactly one month in Val di Sole (Sulzberg).
