Leonardo Paez has done it again! For the fourth time after 2006, 2016 and 2021, the Colombian won the South Tyrol Dolomiti Superbike (123 kilometers and 3.400 meters in altitude) and gave himself a wonderful present one day before his 40th birthday. The cross triathlon world champion from Welsberg had to continue riding after a fall with a defect in the suspension fork and was therefore powerless in the fight for the podium. In the end, Mairhofer's gap to Peretti was 6.14,6:XNUMX minutes. “I'm a little disappointed. After a fall, my suspension fork was blocked and practically nothing worked on the descents and I lost a lot of time. “I think the new route is very cool, a big compliment to the organizers,” reported Mairhofer at the finish. Thrilling finish sprint in the 85-kilometer race The premiere of the new middle distance at the Dolomiti Superbike for men couldn't have been more exciting. Five athletes delivered a thrilling finish sprint in the center of Niederdorf, in which Francesco Failli had the best finish. The 39-year-old from ASD Cicli Taddei won in 3:17.31 minutes and beat his teammate Francesco Casagrande and last year's short distance winner Nicola Taffarel (Wilier 7C Force) by a few tenths of a second.

The many fans in the center of Niederdorf were able to celebrate a South Tyrolean victory in the “classic” (60 kilometers and 1.785 meters in altitude). Philipp Plunger from Gufidaun (Martini Speed Team) prevailed in 2:26.46 minutes ahead of Alberto Magnani (RDR Italia Leynicese Racing Team) and Stefan Kerschbaumer from Klausen. In the women's category, however, a biker from Poland was successful. Anna Urban (BMC Poland) was the only participant to break the 2-hour mark in 56.25:3 hours. Second and third place, however, went to two young South Tyroleans, namely Silvia Huber from Prague and Hannah Wiesthaler from Innichen. Celebrities are there at the Superbike Ex-provincial councilor Thomas Widmann and Emil Oberegger from Olang also did not miss the South Tyrol Dolomiti Superbike, who took part in all editions of the long distance and also reached the finish line. Also taking part was former ski ace Manfred Mölgg and ex-biathlete Magdalena Wierer, who achieved a respectable seventh place over the short distance.
