Greta Seiwald's season has begun

The elite mountain bike world cup opened on Friday. There was no top result for South Tyrol's only representative, Greta Seiwald.

The start has been made. The short track race that marks the start of the season took place in Nove Mesto, Czech Republic, on Friday. Greta Seiwald was the only South Tyrolean at the start. In adverse conditions (rain and mud), the woman from Gsies ended up in 16th place.

The victory went to Laura Stigger from North Tyrol. The 22-year-old celebrated her first World Cup triumph, having already reached the podium last year. Alessandra Keller came second, Sina Frei (both Switzerland) came third. The cross-country race is on the program on Sunday. From a South Tyrolean perspective, Greta Seiwald will also be the only representative here.
