MTB European Championships: Huge bad luck for Italy with Eva Lechner in the team relay
The European MTB Championships in Chies D'Alpago in the province of Belluno began with bitter disappointment for the Italian national team. Eva Lechner from Eppan only finished 13th in the team relay with Andrea Tiberi, Francesco Bonetto and Gioele Bertolini after the final driver broke a chain, 3.49 minutes behind the new European champions from Germany. Silver went to Switzerland and bronze to the Czech Republic.
