Two South Tyroleans are traveling to the Mountain Bike World Championships in Australia

The two local bikers Gerhard Kerschbaumer (elite men) and Eva Lechner (elite women) will represent South Tyrol at the World Championships from September 5th to 10th. While Kerschbaumer has been working with, among other things, the last few weeks Italian championship title and his first World Cup podium made people sit up and take notice, Lechner hasn't found his way yet this year last refueled with specialist Dr. Christian Thuile new strength .

A total of 21 “Azzurri” will be taking part in the World Championships in Australia: 16 in mountain biking and five in downhill. Because Veronika Widmann was not nominated for the World Cup, South Tyrol is not represented in downhill in Cairns.
