Nibali takes the stage, Chaves the pink jersey

The stage from Pinerolo to Risoul had far-reaching consequences for the fight for overall victory: The Colombian Esteban Chaves took the pink jersey, while Vincenzo Nibali, who had already been written off in many places, has a chance of winning the big coup again with the stage victory. Manuel Quinziato from Bolzano crossed the finish line today in 98th place, over half an hour behind.
