100 days until the Giro delle Dolomiti

As far as the route of the Giro delle Dolomiti 2022 is concerned, the organizers are sticking to the tried and tested. There will be six stages again this year. The vast majority of participants tackle the 641 kilometer long route with an altitude of around 9700 meters in order to roam through the Dolomites with like-minded people, exchange ideas, make new friends and possibly see old acquaintances again. The pedal knights also go to Trentino twice. While the fifth section leads from Trento via Arco to the 2180 meter high Monte Bondone and back to Trento, the team time trial takes place again at the end of the Giro delle Dolomiti. This takes the participants from Trento to Aldeno and back again twice. However, the queen stage with a length of 174 kilometers and 2200 meters in altitude will also take place in South Tyrol this year. This is the third section in which the athletes will climb the Würzjoch - spectacular pictures are guaranteed at one of the most beautiful Dolomite passes. The main focus of the Giro delle Dolomiti is still the entertainment value. Who will follow Gschnitzer and Jederelhauser? Those cyclists among the participants who still have the idea of competition in mind can go full throttle on the timed sections that each stage offers and explore their own limits in order to possibly be crowned the overall winner of the Giro delle Dolomiti 2022. Last year, local hero Thomas Gschnitzer (Vipiteno) and Julia Jederelhauser from Allgäu prevailed and were celebrated by competitors, friends and acquaintances as part of the harmonious award ceremony in the Bolzano trade fair - again this year the logistical headquarters of the cycle tour. 100 days until the Giro delle Dolomiti

Two and a half months still have to pass before this year's Giro delle Dolomiti begins with the first stage on the Ritten. From July 24th to 30th, hundreds of cyclists will once again take part in the tour in the Trentino-South Tyrol region.
