Vortex at the airport: Jan Ullrich appears again

“We are investigating suspicion of bodily harm against Mr. Ullrich,” a police spokesman told the “Bild” newspaper. What happened? The ex-cyclist is said to have attacked a catering employee at the airport around 13 p.m. on Tuesday for no reason and pressed his larynx with his thumb. The attacked man was able to free himself - and filed a complaint a short time later.

The analysis of images from the surveillance cameras at the airport is said to have confirmed that Ullrich was in the security area. The alleged act itself was probably not filmed. The investigations against Ullrich are currently ongoing. The former Tour de France winner himself is no longer in Hamburg. As “Bild” reports, Ullrich is said to have flown to London on Tuesday and from there to Miami, where he wants to undergo another withdrawal.

It was only at the beginning of August that Jan Ullrich was reported for allegedly strangling a prostitute in a luxury hotel in Frankfurt. The investigation into this is still ongoing. A few days earlier he had gone out to Til Schweiger's property in Mallorca. His drug and alcohol problems then came to light. In the last few weeks, Ullrich went through withdrawal.
