Giro: Bennett surprises Viviani

Irish professional cyclist Sam Bennett has won the seventh stage of the Giro d'Italia, giving the German team Bora-hansgrohe their first day's victory in the ongoing Tour of Italy. After 27 km between Pizzo and Praia a Mare, the 159-year-old prevailed in the mass sprint ahead of the two-time stage winner Elia Viviani (Italy).
