Nibali escape unrewarded – tour comes to South Tyrol

On the first day of the Tour of the Alps, Vincenzo Nibali tried to make an exclamation point. The “Azzurro” took flight on the last climb of the stage from Kufstein to Kufstein, but was caught by Chris Froome and Co. The day's victory went to Tao Geoghegan Hart.
