Thrilling four-way battle goes to Gschnitzer
After a rest day, the 45th Giro delle Dolomiti continued with the fourth stage on Thursday. This time the cyclists from 23 different nations went to the Sarntal (75 kilometers/1583 meters altitude). The mountain time trial with a length of 10,4 kilometers and 514 meters in altitude from Astfeld to Lake Durnholz was won by the two overall leaders of the tour: Thomas Gschnitzer from Sterzing and Janine Meyer from Germany.
