Sagan sprints to his 12th Tour stage win in Colmar

The 29-year-old Slovakian was able to beat the Belgian Wout van Aert and the Italian Matteo Trentin in a sprint on Wednesday after 175,5 kilometers from Saint-Dié-des-Vosges to Colmar. The professional cyclist from the Bora-hansgrohe team completed his twelfth daily success on a tour of France. This was Sagan's first stage win on this year's Tour.

Julian Alaphilippe once again defended the yellow jersey on his terrain and can also tackle the first mountain finish as the overall leader. Alaphilippe now leads van Aert by 14 seconds. Tour favorites Egan Bernal and Geraint Thomas are 40 and 45 seconds behind Alaphilippe, respectively. This means they are currently in 6th and 7th place.
