Lots of stars at the Maratona dles Dolomites this weekend

The starting signal will be fired on Sunday at 6.30 a.m. in La Villa. The destination of the most important international cycling marathon for amateur cyclists is Corvara. The participants come from 69 different nations and this year 3500 cyclists will make their debut. Due to the draw, there is always a change of participants.

Three routes to choose from

There are three routes that have been tried and tested for some time and that cyclists can tackle depending on their ability and fitness.

Long route, 138 km: La Villa, Corvara, Campolongo Pass, Arabba, Pordoi Pass, turn-off to Sella Pass, Sella Pass, Plan de Gralba, Gardena Pass, Corvara, Campolongo Pass, Arabba, Colle Santa Lucia, Giau Pass, Pocol, Falzarego Pass, Valparola- Pass, St. Kassian, La Villa, Corvara. The highest point is the crossing of the Pordoi Pass at an altitude of 2249 m. The total difference in altitude is 4230 m.

Medium distance, 106 km: La Villa, Corvara, Campolongo Pass, Arabba, Pordoi Pass, turn-off to Sella Pass, Sella Pass, Plan de Gralba, Gardena Pass, Corvara, Campolongo Pass, Arabba, Pieve di Livinallongo, Cernadoi, Falzarego Pass, Valparola Pass, St. Kassian, La Villa, Corvara. The height difference is 3130 m. Sellaronda, 55 km: La Villa, Corvara, Campolongo Pass, Arabba, Pordoi Pass, turn-off to Sella Pass, Sella Pass, Plan de Gralba, Gardena Pass, Corvara. The height difference is 1780 m.

So a complete baronet who stands at the start of the Maratona with his charisma of a unique cyclist, conqueror of various successes such as the Tour de France and Olympic gold medals.
