Vuelta: Valverde wins, 90. Manuel Quinziato

Spaniard Alejandro Valverde has won the sixth stage of the Vuelta, the first with a mountain finish, from Balnademena to La Zubia over 167km. The 34-year-old from Movistar, number 1 in the world rankings, set the pace in the final kilometers and prevailed ahead of Briton Chris Froome and his compatriot Alberto Contador. Manuel Quinziato from Bolzano from BMC Racing Team crossed the finish line in 90th place, 10.02 minutes behind Valverde.
