Two South Tyrolean overall victories in the Tour Transalp

The 14th Tour Transalp ended today in Riva del Garda. The South Tyrolean teams celebrated two victories and a second place by crossing the Alps on racing bikes in seven days. Hannes Pallhuber (Antholz) and Massimo Debertolis won the master category and also secured overall victory. Marina Ilmer (Tschars) and Janina Meyer prevailed in the women's category with seven stage victories, while the two Merano residents Alexandra Hober and Michael Tumler came second in the mixed class with two victories. The 1000 participants from 25 nations, including 12 South Tyroleans, had to cover a total of 901 km, overcome 22 passes and climb 19.521 meters in altitude.
