High-class horse racing in Merano

Last year's winner of the Meran South Tyrol Grand Prix L'Estran (A. Pollioni) won safely ahead of Quinze De La Rose (J. Faltejsek) in the Group 3 race for the MIPAAF prize. The gelding from the Aichner racing stable won comfortably ahead of the Czech, while his stablemates Notti Magiche and Martinstar as well as Quick D'Avier were eliminated due to falls. Among the 3-year-olds in the prize Ettore Tagliabue, No Profit stepped into the breach for his withdrawn stablemate Makito. The mare from Christian Troger's racing stable, ridden by Gabriele Agus, kept the Czech favorite Roncal (J. Faltejsek) in check on the home straight. The Czech gelding Stuke (L. Matusky) prevailed in the older hurdle specialists in the spa administration prize. He decided a thrilling finish against Live Your Life (R. Romano) and Piton Des Neiges (J. Faltejsek) in his favor. Sky Constellation won the four-year-old hurdlers. The gelding from Christian Troger's racing team showed his usual strong finish and defeated the long-time leader No Pasaran (J. Faltejsek) from the Aichner family's racing team. Third place went to Normandy De La Vega. Further daily victories went to Ivo, Manolo, Bonys and Big Riot.
