Sports organizer Gerald Burger presented a mixture of new products and tried-and-tested products on Tuesday in the Lasa marble factory shed. For the first time, the start and finish are located at the tower area in Graun am Reschensee. “There are now 4 routes,” explained OK boss Burger. Some well-known names have already announced their presence, including the Colombian Leonardo Paez, world champion in 2019 and 2020. The Russian Aleksej Medvedev is also one of the top favorites. You will complete the marathon distance of 111 kilometers. The race is considered a qualifying race for the European Championships. On Sunday, June 19th, another cycling highlight will take place at the Reschen Pass. Then the Tour Transalp starts at Lake Reschen. The start of the 7-day road bike stage race takes place in Zernez, Switzerland. After 7 days the cyclists reach their destination in Arco. Reschensee run as a highlight On July 16th, the highlight of the Vinschger sporting events takes place with the traditional Reschenseelauf. Over 3000 runners from near and far are expected. “The run was also an absolute highlight in the last two years. The special edition in summer 2020, which took place under strict Corona conditions, received attention across Europe. Last year it took place spectacular running wedding as part of the event,” recalled Burger. The 26-country Enduro Race for mountain bikers is taking place at the Reschen Pass from August 28th to 3th. From Nauders or Reschen you follow the trails at the border triangle. Finally, on September 2nd and 3rd, the Resia Rosolina Relay relay race takes place, which leads from the source of the Etsch am Reschen to the mouth of the river in Rosolina on the Adriatic. There are around 430 kilometers to cover; teams of 10 runners, divided into 2 teams, can take part. The La Venosta Skiroll will take place for the first time on September 24th and 25th. On Saturday there will be a 10 kilometer sprint around the dam in St. Valentin auf der Haide, and on Sunday there will be a 30 kilometer race starting in Glurns and finishing in Melag in the Langtauferer Valley.
