The ski crossers toil on the Stilfer Joch

For the training camp in Vinschgau, which will last until Saturday, October 26th, the responsible coach Massimiliano Iezza has called up a total of seven athletes, namely the five South Tyroleans Stephan Miribung, Marco Tomasi, Stefan Thanei, Debora Pixner and Sabine Wolfsgruber, as well as Diego Castellaz and Francesco Mauriello. In addition to Iezza, the seven “Azzurri” are also looked after by coaches Bartolomeo Pala and Richard Mazagg.

The start of the Ski Cross World Cup season takes place on December 6th in Nakiska, Canada. Eight further stops are then on the program. On the weekend before Christmas, San Candido will host a Ski Cross World Cup for the fifth time in a row. The event is also the only stop on Italian soil in the FIS freestyle calendar.

For snowboarders in the alpine disciplines, the new season begins a week later at the home World Cup in Carezza.
