Successful premiere of the Ratschings Mountain Trail

Armin Larch dictated the pace immediately after the starting signal at 8.30 a.m. at the valley station of the Ratschings-Jaufen cable car. After around 23 kilometers on the Klammalm, the 8-year-old from Mareit was already 1.48 minutes ahead of his first pursuer, Emanuele Manzi. Another 13 seconds were added until the next timing, which was taken after around 50 kilometers. And Larch maintained this lead afterwards, being celebrated as the winner of the premiere of the Ratschings Mountain Trail at the valley station of the Rinneralm lift. For the Marreiter the stopwatch stopped after 1:22.51 hours.

Emanuele Manzi held second place. The 43-year-old from Val Camonica in the province of Brescia is a legend of the international trail and mountain running scene, winning seven team world championship titles with Italy in trail running, a World Championship silver medal as an individual starter, three European Championship titles with the team, and 26 " Scudetti” impressively underpin this. Manzi reached the finish 2.44 minutes behind Larch.

Luca Pescolldung, another South Tyrolean, completed the podium. The 30-year-old from Val Badia from Stern, who is one of Europe's elite in the Spartan Race Mountain Series, completed the 17,7 kilometers with 950 meters of altitude in 1:26.41 hours. Close behind, Andreas Innerebner from Sarn came in fourth place (1:27.03), while Georg Widmann from Tramin narrowly won the duel with Lukas Mangger for fifth place. Start-finish victory for Michaela Schmeer For women, victory in the first Ratschings Mountain Trail went to a trail runner from Germany. Michaela Schmeer from Eppelborn in Saarland ran a lonely race at the front. At kilometer 13, the 39-year-old was just over three and a half minutes ahead of South Tyrolean Edeltraud Thaler (Lana). In the final part, Schmeer increased her credit to almost four minutes and won in 1:47.14 hours. In the duel for third place, 19-year-old Lina Kronschnabl from Schliersee had the upper hand by seven seconds against local hero Maria Rabensteiner (ASV Laufverein Freienfeld) with a final time of 1:51.43 hours. Irene Senfter, another South Tyrolean, took fifth place. The experienced mountain and trail runner from Lana recorded a time of 1:53.04 hours. 12 seasons at the start The Ratschings Mountain Trail could also be tackled as a relay. The starting runner had to cover the slightly steeper section to the Klammalm, while the second athlete had to complete the longer final section to the valley station of the Rinneralm lift. The “SG Eismando 1” team with Anton Tobias Kritzinger and Karl Lercher won here (1:33.51). Second place went to the “yes we CANederli 1” team with Lisa Aichholzer and Vera Mair (1:48.36). “The Moser's 1” with Herbert Moser and Maria Moser completed the podium (1:51.43). A children's and youth run was also held in the finish area at the valley station of the Rinneralm lift.

After the event ended in the early afternoon, the organizing ASV Ratschings was greatly relieved that the premiere of the Ratschings Mountain Trail went off smoothly and without incident. “We are overwhelmed by the many, many positive feedback from the participants. The route in particular was highly praised because of its beautiful landscape. We were also complimented on the organization.
