Fresh Brazilian wind for the Bolzano fistballers

As part of the traditional opening of the season, during which, in addition to the club's internal youth tournament, the men's team also prepared for the upcoming European Championships in Kaltern (June 10-12) in a training game against the Swiss champions from Oberentfelden, Saulo Zanlorenzi was introduced as the new youth coach. “With Saulo Zanlorenzi we were able to gain an absolute professional for our constantly growing youth sector. We are pleased that he found the long way to Bolzano,” explains sporting director Simon Prudenziati. Zanlorenzi is a native of Brazil with Italian roots. After his active fistball career, he studied sports and training science in Brazil and then worked full-time in fistball and sports. Before moving to Bolzano, he headed the city's largest sports club in Santiago de Chile and led the Chilean women's national team to the World Cup in Austria as coach. The motto is to continue to grow “Our section and especially the youth area is constantly growing. In the long term, it was no longer possible to maintain training operations using only volunteer trainers. Therefore, by signing Saulo Zanlorenzi, we are not only increasing our staffing levels, but are also bringing an absolute professional with international experience and professionalism to Bolzano,” explains Philipp Frasnelli at the official trainer introduction last Saturday. Zanlorenzi will take over and expand the entire youth area with immediate effect. In addition, he will support national coach Jörg Ramel in the preparations for the upcoming home European Championships and the World Games in July.
