Home victory at the Rollerski World Cup in Fiemme Valley

The rollerski stage in Fiemmestag brought a triple victory for the “Azzurri”. Matteo Tanel from Bolzano beat Jan Koristek from Slovakia in the finish sprint. “After a tactical first round, I put everything on one card and started the attack. Since I know the route well, I was able to extend my lead on the descents,” explained Tanel after his victory. As a result, the man from Bolzano had more grains in the finish sprint than his competitors, who had previously had to catch up.

In the women's race, Lisa Bolzan also won the finish sprint ahead of Alena Prochazokova (Slovakia), and in the junior race, Angelo Buttironi (ITA) held his own ahead of Johan Ekberg from Sweden. Only among the juniors did Moa Hansson score a Swedish victory, ahead of Alba Mortagna (ITA).

On Sunday the stage to Alpe Cermis is on the program in Fiemme Valley, starting at 9 a.m.
