Also on Friday, Toronto Maple Leafs hockey star Auston Matthews was quarantined at his home in Arizona after testing positive for COVID-19. This was reported by the Toronto Sun. The MLB is in stalled negotiations with the players' union MLBPA over the terms of a shortened season. In the NHL, a final decision between the league and the players' union NHLPA on whether to continue playing is still pending.
