After the Paralympics, the 25-year-old wants to take the second state exam. 3: There are three classes: sitting, standing, visually impaired. There are also four accompanying runners. In Sochi there were 13 German starters. 65: ARD and ZDF will report live from the Paralympics for around 65 hours. 67: At 67, Harald Pavel (Schwenningen) from the wheelchair curling team is the oldest starter of the 20 German athletes. The alpine racer Anna-Maria Rieder (Garmisch-Partenkirchen) is the chick of the German team at 18 years old. 80: There will be 80 competitions in six sports. 30 competitions are planned in alpine skiing, 38 in biathlon and cross-country skiing and ten in snowboarding. There is also para ice hockey and wheelchair curling. 345: Germany's disabled athletes have won 345 medals so far, more than any other country. In the "eternal" medal table, however, the German team is in second place, as Norway has won 135 gold medals and Germany "only" 130. 570: This is how many athletes are competing in Pyeongchang according to the International Paralypic Committee (IPC). The participants come from 48 nations. 700: The Paralympics torch is exactly 700 millimeters long, symbolizing the geographical altitude of Pyeongchang, which is 700 meters above sea level. 8000: That's how many spare parts Ottobock, the official technical service partner of the Paralympics for the 15th time, had with them in Pyeongchang. A 23-person team from ten countries takes care of necessary repairs to prostheses, orthoses or wheelchairs in a 300 square meter workshop area. The material that Ottobock has with it in South Korea weighs ten tons. 20.000: The German disabled athletes will receive 2014 euros for gold in Pyeongchang, as they did in Sochi in the winter of 2016 and in Rio de Janeiro in the summer of 20.000. There are 15.000 euros for silver and 10.000 euros for bronze. The regulation applies analogously to the Winter Olympics.
