Sport.Day.Brixen: Sports honor in the episcopal city

Sven Hannawald as guest of honor The guest of honor at the Sport Day was the ski jumping legend Sven Hannawald, one of the most successful ski jumpers of all time, who ended his career after burnout and is now active as a consultant and health coach. In a stage talk in front of 500 young people from Brixen, the German talked about his rise to the top of the world, his slump and the subsequent way out of the crisis and back into life. He appealed to those present to be careful with themselves and to listen to their inner voice. Hannawald then discussed the topic of “clean sport” and “success in balance” as part of a panel discussion with representatives from business and the sports world. Josef Barth was honored for outstanding sporting achievements. At the age of 86, he was the first person from Brixen to achieve the sports badge for the 50th time.
