12th win in 16 days: Sinner back in the semi-finals

The 17-year-old from Sexten defeated Frenchman Antoine Cornut Chauvinc (ATP 445) 6:0, 7:6(6) in the quarterfinals on Friday evening. Sinner is in an ITF semi-final for the third time in his career, where he will face the German Elmar Ejupovic on Saturday.

After his two victories against the French Albano Olivetti and Jules Okala, Sinner also prevailed against her compatriot Cornut Chauvinc today. On Saturday Sinner will meet the German Elmar Ejupovic, who is nine years older than him and who won in two sets against the Dutchman Gijs Brouwer. The South Tyrolean, currently ranked 324th in the world rankings, goes into the match as the slight favorite.
