326 participants in Rungg and Kaltern

For the U16 boys, local hero and top favorite Sebastian Brzezinski clearly prevailed in the final against Partschinser Manuel Plunger in Rungg with 6:1, 6:0. The 2.6 player from TC Rungg only lost six games in three games during the entire tournament. Plunger then won the title in Kaltern with a 6:3, 6:3 final win against Nathan Farnesi Dibizh.

In the 16-year-old girls category, Alice Volpe from Bergamo won against Camilla Gennaro from Novara 6:4, 6:4 in Kaltern. Gennaro won in Rungg against the 13-year-old Lara Pfeifer 6:2, 6:3. She had previously eliminated Vickie Trocker in the third set tiebreak in the semifinals.

Pfeifer won the U14 in Rungg. In the final she defeated Betania Campana from Bassano, who then secured the tournament victory in Kaltern.

Only two players achieved the “double”: Daniel Lechner from TC USSA Bozen in the U10 and Leonardo Giuberti from Milan in the U12. In this age group, the two “hosts” Nina Meskova and Anna Katharina Palla prevailed among the girls in Rungg and Kaltern. Nadine Trocker from Völs was able to hold her own in the U10 girls.

The next Raiffeisen tournament will take place this week in Ahrntal.

Last week, two “Raiffeisen youth tournaments” for the age groups U10, 12, 14 and 16 took place on the clay courts of the Überetsch tennis clubs Rungg and Kaltern. A total of 326 young players took part in the two tournaments, 180 in Rungg and 146 in Kaltern.
