Alexander Weis is in an ITF quarter-final for the first time

On Thursday afternoon, Alexander Weis qualified for an ITF quarter-final for the first time in his career. The 20-year-old from Bolzano beat the Indian Arjun Kadhe (ATP 15.000) in the second round of the $613 tournament in Cairo, after fending off a match point in the tiebreak of the third set, 1:6, 6:3, 7:6 (8) through. Manfred Fellin and Verena Meliss, however, were eliminated.
