Andreas Seppi no longer in the top 100

Andreas Seppi falls out of the top 7 of the world tennis rankings for the first time in almost 100 years. The Kalter tennis professional is now number 536 in the world with 102 points. Last week Seppi was still in 85th place. Since May 2005, Andreas Seppi has only been out of the top 6 for 100 weeks, namely in the first half of 2007. In 2013, he achieved his best placement at number 18.

This week Andreas Seppi is playing in Antalya, where he has a very good chance of getting back into the top 100. On Tuesday he will meet the Polish qualifier Kamil Majchrzak. He is number 288 in the world and so far he has lost 3 of 4 games on the ATP tour. In the second round, Seppi will then play against either Karen Khachanov or Janko Tipsarevic. Janko Tipsarevic is currently number 61 in the world, but has already lost a final against Seppi. More likely, the opponent is Karen Khachanov, who is currently ranked 34th in the world.

The updated world rankings were published by the international tennis association ATP on Monday morning. Andy Murray remains the undisputed leader.
