ATC Bruneck wins the Serie C Winter Cup

South Tyrol celebrated its eighth success in a row, the 13th in 22 years of the Winter Cup. In the semi-final a week ago, Bruneck was able to beat Tramin at home 3-1. After the two men's singles were tied 1-1, Chiara Sabbadini and the doubles duo Bachlechner/Thaler made the decision.

This made it perfect for the final, where Bruneck met TC Bozen at home in the South Tyrolean derby, who clearly defeated ASC Welsberg 4-0 away in the second semi-final. For Bruneck, which had to admit defeat to Naturns in the final last year, the final started exactly as desired. Thomas Toniatti clearly won against Mattia Padovani 6:0 and 6:1. In the second men's singles, Bozen's Mathias Pesarin made it 17-1 after a strong comeback against 1-year-old Thomas Thaler. Then Chiara Sabbadini once again brought the Pusterers into the front.

In the doubles, Bachlechner/Mair finally closed the bag against Pesarin/Tavernini. The Pusterers won the 3 Winter Cup with a 1-2019 win, the fourth in their club history and the second in the last three seasons. Bruneck, together with the Trentino club ATP Battisti, is now the most successful club in the Serie C Winter Cup.

ATC Bruneck has won the Serie C Winter Cup for the fourth time in the club's history. The Pusterers clearly prevailed in the final against TC Bozen with a 3-1 win.
