ATP Hamburg: Seppi defeats Mayer and moves into the quarter-finals

After Karin Knapp in Baku, Andreas Seppi also made it into the quarterfinals at the ATP 500 tournament in Hamburg (1.407.960 euros in prize money) on Thursday afternoon. In his second round match, the 31-year-old from Kalter defeated the German Florian Mayer, who has slipped to 261st place in the world rankings after a year-long injury break, in three sets 4:6, 6:2, 6:3.
