Australian Open: Karin Knapp makes it into the main draw

After Andreas Seppi, Karin Knapp is a second tennis player from South Tyrol in the main field of the Australian Open. On Saturday night in the third and final qualifying round of the first Grand Slam tournament of the season, the 25-year-old Luttacher defeated the American Alison Riske, number 187 in the world rankings, in three sets 6:4, 2:6, 6:1 and made it into the main field.
