Strong Andreas Seppi: Final in Canberra

The 33-year-old from Kalter clearly prevailed in the semifinals against the number 5 seed and 81 in the world, Victor Estrella Burgos from the Dominican Republic, 6:2, 6:2.

On Thursday, Seppi shot number 3 seeded Spaniard Guillermo Garcia Lopez 6:3, 6:4, and on Friday the Kalterer continued his winning streak in Australia's capital against Estrella Burgos and reached a Challenger for the first time in over three years -Final. On Saturday at 1:00 a.m. CET, Seppi will face Hungary's Marton Fucsovic (ATP 85), who was able to hold his own against Maxime Janvier in three sets.

Kalterer dominates Seppi dominated the match to the core and secured the break to take a 2-1 lead in the third game. After the Kalterer always served his serves very confidently, he took the service from Estrella Burgos again when the score was 4:2. Seppi then left no stone unturned and won the first set with 29:6 points after 2 minutes.

Seppi decided the match right at the beginning of the second period when he took the service from the Dominican twice in the first three games and immediately afterwards moved away to 4-0. The world number 87 cleverly managed this comfortable lead and converted his first match point with an ace after 1:13 hours of play to make the final score 6-2. In Canberra, Seppi has already secured 48 ATP points and $6.360 in prize money by reaching the final. With a possible victory on Saturday, the Kalterer would celebrate his eighth Challenger tournament victory.
