Becker attacks Kyrgios: “I don’t like rats”

Becker was obviously reacting to Kyrgios' criticism of the behavior of the German Alexander Zverev, who was at a party near Monte Carlo apparently had once again ignored the required rules of the corona pandemic. “I don’t like rats,” Becker wrote to Kyrgios on Tuesday morning: “Anyone who insults other athletes is not a friend of mine! When you look in the mirror, do you think you’re better than us?”

Becker instead called on Kyrgios to finally show his potential on the pitch, deliver and win a Grand Slam. Kyrgios counters Kyrgios responded immediately: “For heaven’s sake, Boris. I'm not interested in a competition or throwing someone to the sharks. We're in a global pandemic and if someone is stupid enough to do what Alex did, I'm going to call it out. So simple." Kyrgios later followed up and hurled at Becker, whom he called "Doughnut": "He can hit a volley, but obviously he's not the sharpest tool in the shed." In recent days, Kyrgios has become the chief critic of his German opponent Zverev. After the Adria tour was canceled, which made negative headlines with party videos and several corona cases, he assured that he would go into isolation. Instead, six days later, he was apparently celebrating in a club in the south of France in large company. Videos appeared on Instagram on Sunday evening. Becker received little support The argument between Becker and Kyrgios is surprising, as the three-time Wimbledon winner has always expressed respect for the frequently criticized bad boy from Down Under. Last year, Becker even flirted with coaching Kyrgios. Incidentally, Becker did not receive many supporters for his statements on Twitter, quite the opposite.
