Bencic teases Zverev: $200 for every double mistake

Nick Kyrgios said at the start of the ATP Cup that he would donate $200 for every ace he hit for the devastating bushfires. Many players have now followed the Australian's example. The ATP also followed suit and it is estimated that over $150.000 will be raised by the end of the ATP Cup. In addition, stars like Maria Sharapova and Novak Djokovic have decided to donate $25.000 from their own hands.

On the WTA tour, i.e. in women's tennis, fewer aces are hit and so Belinda Bencic came up with her strange idea. “Since I hit a double fault much more often than an ace, I donate $200 for every single double fault,” says the Swiss on Instagram and invites Zverev to do the same. If the German follows Bencic's call, he would probably have to dig deep into his pockets, after all, he has already produced 3 double faults in 31 games this year.

Simona Halep, who is not known for her serving strength, had previously decided on a special donation method: The Romanian wants to donate $200 every time she “gives a hard time” to her coach Darren Cahill. This way she would collect more money than with aces.
