Boris Becker takes on a top talent

Things have recently become quieter around Boris Becker. Now the German is getting back into the tennis business.

According to a media report, Boris Becker is joining the coaching team of Danish tennis professional Holger Rune. As the TV broadcaster Sky reported on Monday, the 55-year-old will be at selected tournaments in the future as a so-called super coach alongside the current sixth in the world rankings. However, Lars Christensen will continue to be the Dane's coach.

The 20-year-old posted a group photo on Instagram with himself, Becker and his team. “Great training week in Monaco,” wrote Rune. There was initially no response from Boris Becker to his request.

Becker was most recently back on duty as a television pundit after being released from prison for tax offenses in Great Britain last December. As a coach, the former world-class player celebrated success with the 24-time Grand Slam winner Novak Djokovic (Serbia) between 2013 and 2016.
