The 31-year-old from Kaltern, number 25 in the world, was eliminated in the first round of the ATP 500 tournament in Beijing on Monday morning. Seppi, who returned to the tour after a month out due to injury, had to admit defeat to the Belgian Davis Cup finalist David Goffin, number seven on the seeding list, 1:05, 2:6 after 3:6 hours of play.
