Daniel Gitzl and Sara Rizzolli win in Branzoll

The favorites showed no weakness in Branzoll and, as expected, made it to the final. In the men's category, number 3 seed Daniel Gitzl from Brixen (3.1) and Nicolò Angeleri from Lombardy (3.2) dueled for tournament victory. The 20-year-old Gitzl eliminated Nicola Pereno from Piedmont 6:2, 6:2 in the semifinals, while Angeleri defeated Christian Pfeifer 6:2, 6:0 in the semifinals. In the final, Gitzl clearly won in two sets 6:4, 6:2.

In the women's final there was a duel between two young talents, U16 player Sara Rizzolli and U14 ace Nadine Vinatzer. Rizzolli, seeded number 4, shot down Anna Costaperaria from TC Gemeinde Bozen 6:0, 6:4 in the semi-finals, while Vinatzer from Ladin withdrew from the field after a 2:6, 6:2, 6:2 three-set win against Virginia Giustetto Piedmont into the final.
