The TC Rungg is ready for a new adventure

Because both the men's team (TC Rungg Arrow) and the women's team (TC Rungg Kiku) were able to secure promotion last year, both teams are starting in the A2 this year. No other South Tyrolean team is represented in Italy's second highest league. Rungg last played in Serie A2005 in 2.

TC Rungg doesn't want to hide in the new league and has declared the play-offs as its goal. Another important point in the tennis club's agenda is the promotion of young players. It starts for the two teams on Sunday, October 6th. The men's team, which plays in Group 2, will face Match Ball Firenze away at the start, while the women's team, also in Group 2, will face title favorites TC Cagliari at home.

Verena Meliss, a big ace in the women's team, is looking forward to the new adventure.

the teams The men's team consists of 16 players who are: The Italian Marco Bortolotti (2.1/ATP 242), the Spaniard Mario Vilella Martinez (2.1/ATP 191), the Austrian Maximilian Neuchrist (2.1/ATP 699), the German Elmar Ejupovic (2.1/ATP 589), Julian Lenz (2.1/ATP 264) as well as their own boys Georg Winkler (2.4), Horst Rieder (2.4), Moritz Trocker (2.4), Sebastian Brzezinski (2.4), Paolo Dagnino (2.4), Marco De Rossi (2.4), Joy Vigani (2.4), Tobias Kirchlechner (2.5), Thomas Thaler (2.7), Daniel Gitzl (3.1) and Massimo Bertolini (3.2).

The women's team, however, includes the following players: Paula Ormaechea (1.9), the Swiss Susan Bandecchi (2.2), Martina Spigarelli (2.3), the German Romy Kölzer (2.2/WTA 546) and the young Verena Meliss (2.3), Verena Hofer (2.4), Lara Pfeifer (2.4), Anna Santa (2.5), Vickie Trocker (2.6) and Barbara Palicova (3.2).
