Dominic Thiem: The 7th defeat in a row

The 28-year-old Austrian had to admit defeat to the Bolivian Hugo Dellien 43,6:3:6,2:6,4 on Sunday, the opening day of the 6 million euro French Open in Paris. This means that Thiem remains without a win after his comeback in Marbella at the end of March; it was his seventh defeat in a row.

Right at the start of the second round, Thiem lost his service again and again at 1:4, which also decided the second set. Things continued in the same vein, Dellien quickly took a 2-0 lead after an opening break and the Bolivian didn't let this lead be taken away from him.
