Three French and one Austrian in the semi-finals in Ortisei

On paper, Pierre-Hugues Herbert is the big favorite for the 64.000 euro tournament in Ortisei. The 27-year-old Frenchman, currently number 55 in the world rankings, was the only player to reach the semi-finals without losing a set. On Friday, Herbert defeated number 5 seed Ricardas Berankis 6:3, 6:2. After the Lithuanian's exit, it is also clear that the tournament will have a new winner on Sunday. Andreas Seppi from Kaltern remains the only player to have won twice in Val Gardena (2013 and 2014). Herbert reached the semi-finals in Val Gardena for the second time in a row.
