Three girls teams in the Final Eight

The national team champions and some runners-up were allowed to take part in the qualifying tournaments. Two South Tyrolean teams took part in the U12 girls in Rovereto, Kaltern and Rungg. Both teams won all of their group games and faced each other in the final. After Julia Peer from TC Rungg won the first game against Lucia Panin 6:3, 1:6, 6:1, the Kalterer team turned the match around. Anna Katharina Palla beat Margeritha Dapunt 6:3, 6:2 and the doubles Palla/Panin won 6:7, 6:4, 6:2 against Peer/Dapunt. TC Kaltern thus bought the ticket for the Final Eight from September 29th to October 1st in Messina. There the Überetscher girls will meet TC Scicli, Tennis Firenze, Valmarecchia, New Magnolie, Cagliari, Junior San Benedetto and Genova.

U14 girls from TC Rungg at the final in Milan In the U14 category, the Rungger girls with Vickie Trocker, Anna Santa and Sara Rizzolli came third at the Italian Championships last year. This year too they made it into the final round in Vicenza. In the final, Anna Santa and Lara Pfeifer (Rizzoli was missing due to injury) clearly defeated ATA Battisti Trento 2-0. Santa defeated Sveva Bernardi 6:4, 6:4, Pfeifer defeated Martina Schmid 6:3, 6:0. The Final Eight with Rungg, Palermo, Junior Milano, Cesana Maderno, Perugia, Etruria and the two Roman teams, Vianello and Parioli, will take place in Milan.

TC St. Christina-Wolkenstein in the U16 final The third South Tyrolean team in the final of the Italian Championship is the U16 girls team from TC St. Cristina-Wolkenstein. The Val Gardena women defeated Bardolino 2-1 in the final in Padua. Laura Mair beat Claudia Faccincani 6:2, 6:1, Alessia Piccoliori then lost the second singles against Sara Ginami 2:6, 3:6. The Val Gardena women then won the decisive doubles with 6:1, 6:4. At the national final in Modena, the opponents are Martina Franca, Genova, Canottieri Mincio, Giotto Arezzo, Parioli Roma, Fireball Napoli and the hosts.

U16 boys: Defending champion Rungg is eliminated However, the remaining six South Tyrolean Tams were eliminated. The U14 girls of TC Brixen (Greta Zwerger and Aileen Markart) suffered two defeats. The U14 boys from TC Rungg made it to the final. After three group wins, Maximilian Figl's Achilles tendon caused problems and so the Runggers had to admit defeat against ATA Trento 1:2. For the U16 boys, reigning Italian champion Rungg suffered a bitter 1-2 defeat in the first game against CS Plebiscito and was eliminated. In the decisive doubles, the Runggers also missed a match point. At the U16 qualification in Trieste, Merano's Matteo Rizzi and Daniel Botti also fought for a place in the final. After two group wins, they lost 2-1 on the third matchday against the eventual tournament winners from Vicenza and narrowly missed out on the final. The U2 boys from TC Kaltern had no chance at the tournament in St. Georgen. Lukas Palla was unable to take part due to an injury, Samuel Greif and Jakob Andergassen lost all three group games.
